The idea of the shadow box came to mind when I was looking at Christmas domes. I really liked the warm and cozy feeling the village scene gave me, but I wanted to give it my own twist. So I thought outside the box (no pun intended). Everything related to Christmas fascinates me and it’s also a special day because one of my dear friends is born on Christmas Eve.
The shadow box displays a village scene that is lit with delicate fairy lights (warm white colour), creating a cozy holiday atmosphere. Inside there is also a little light that has the shape of a bauble. The little light can be lit by pulling the insulating film out and turned off by putting it back in. The frame is made out of wood and transparent acrylic sheet. Topping the frame is a sprig of greenery that enhances the seasonal look and makes it a perfect addition to your home.
The shadow box can be gift wrapped for an extra charge of 5£.
